19 of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been earned on hardcourt
A resurgent the Russian player secured his maiden title for over two years with a win over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has endured a challenging period, managing just one match at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the American major.
His inconsistency on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serve in specific - resulted in him falling of the elite rankings and eventually separating with former mentor Gilles Cervara.
Currently training with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently advanced in the past month - climaxing in a tightly fought competitive victory over opponent Moutet.
It is his first championship since the Rome competition and first on a hard surface from March of 2023.
Victory also indicates Medvedev has won 21 victories at twenty-one different competitions.
"For the first time I am participating in a event with my children together, so to win a championship is really nice," stated ranked player the champion.
"This title is in tribute of my child Victoria, because the maiden victory I won when my first daughter her name was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six title deciders, including in that event in the past months.
The player's counter-punching strategy and recurring reactions on court had caused commentators to question if his capacity to compete at the elite level was over.
But the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the last few weeks, attempting to advance forward and compete positively, supported by an improved serve.
He recovered from a break down in the initial set against the tricky Moutet, winning four of the last five exchanges to take the lead.
The competitors exchanged service breaks in the middle set before the challenger, striving for his maiden professional championship, took control to push for a decider.
He saved four early break points in a competitive third set before the champion broke to that score to serve for the match.
Appropriately, Medvedev secured victory with a shot at the net, with the Frenchman incapable to control a return after a lengthy match.
